Katie – Senior Groomer | Newport
Katie brings over 12 years of grooming experience to our Newport team, combining skill, passion, and genuine care in every groom. She continuously refines her craft through seminars, workshops, and conferences, and has proudly been awarded 1st place in Creative Grooming competitions.
Having owned and successfully run her own grooming salon and daycare, Katie also offers valuable behind-the-scenes expertise. Her strong understanding of both pets and clients allows her to support not only grooming excellence, but also the overall experience and operations of the business.
She’s excited to bring her dedication and experience to the Newport community. At home, she is proudly owned by Maze, her 7-year-old Border Collie mix.
Laura – Senior Groomer | Manly
Laura brings over 15 years of professional grooming experience. In Italy, she owned and operated her own salon, Cherry Saloon, where she built a loyal clientele and specialised in high-quality grooming. She has participated in professional grooming competitions throughout her career, continuously refining her technique and deepening her passion for the craft.
Her work combines technical precision with an artistic eye, creating beautiful, balanced trims that enhance each pet’s natural features while always prioritising comfort and wellbeing. In recent years, Laura has developed a strong passion for Asian Fusion-style grooming, known for its soft and expressive finishes.
With Laura joining our team, we are also expanding our grooming services to include cat grooming. With her extensive experience handling both dogs and cats, our approach focuses on a calm, gentle, and stress-free experience tailored to each animal.
Erin – Professional Dog Stylist | Newport
Erin has over 3 years of grooming experience and brings a true sense of artistry to her work. With a strong foundation from her mentor, she approaches each dog as a unique canvas.
She loves the creative process of enhancing each dog’s natural beauty while ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout the experience. For Erin, the perfect groom is always a balance of health, comfort, and style.
Melissa – Professional Dog Stylist | Manly
Melissa is one of the longest-standing members of The Dog Social team. With many years of experience in the pet care industry, including over 4 years grooming with us, she is an exceptionally talented groomer known for her consistency, skill, and care.
She originally trained in professional dog grooming in Dubai before moving to Sydney, where she has become an invaluable part of our team. Melissa brings both experience and reliability to every groom, always prioritising the wellbeing and comfort of each dog.
